Welcome to the submission site for the 2025 Blavatnik National Awards for Young Scientists. The nomination period is open from October 9, 2024 through December 4, 2024.

The Blavatnik Family Foundation and the New York Academy of Sciences are delighted to embark on the eleventh year of the Blavatnik National Awards for Young Scientists.  These awards celebrate the past accomplishments and future potential of young faculty researchers working in three disciplinary categories of science and engineering: Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, and Chemical Sciences.  Every year, one nominee in each category will be named a Blavatnik National Awards Laureate and awarded US$250,000 in unrestricted funds. Five additional nominees will be recognized as Finalists and awarded US$15,000 in unrestricted funds.

Institutional nominations must be submitted by the institution’s leadership (President, Vice President, Director) or their official designee (official designees must notify BlavatnikAwards@nyas.org of the delegation of responsibilities). Each institution may nominate up to three individuals, one in each disciplinary category (Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, and Chemical Sciences).  The Blavatnik National Awards for Young Scientists welcomes nominations from all underrepresented groups in science and engineering.

If you have any questions or experience technical difficulties, please contact the Blavatnik Awards team at BlavatnikAwards@nyas.org or +1-212-298-3742 (Monday to Friday, 9AM - 5PM EST).

Sincerely yours,
